Visualizing the organization’s philosophy to inspire Selangor business digitalization
Challenge
The Selangor state government has decided to rebrand SITEC as Sidec (Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation) Sdn Bhd – a full-fledged government-linked company in 2021, and we was assigned to visualize Sidec’s commitment into their new logo.
Strategy
As a government linked company which supports Selangor start-ups & digital talents, a strong brand image is very important to establish trust and reliability. Thus, a rebranding is carried out with precise attention to the branding format. It is applied consistently in every aspect of the brand’s strategy from logo to all marketing collateral to carry Sidec’s philosophy: Chase Your Dreams
Impacts
A new designed logo is created with the compositions of 4 colours which are red, orange, yellow and white. The choice of the colours aims to coordinate with the Selangor flag and represent the state of Selangor. The fire in the logo represents passion and hope which provide the audience a sense of reliability.
We also created a few brand patterns to be applied in their marketing collaterals. The primary pattern designs were created based on the flame from the logo to represent chasing a dream. Meanwhile, the second brand pattern was a colour bar with the combination of Sidec’s logo colour.
